Our story begins in year 1984 in a small village named “Jenjarom”. From the very beginning, we have committed to serve our customers with the best quality and bring them the Taste of Happiness.
We want to ensure that every bite of Heritaste snack is full of happiness. We’re out to make the world a happier place, one bite at a time. As we continue to grow with your supports, we promise to strive hard and give back to the community.
FOUNDER : MR. TAN HOOK HEENG
Our founder, Mr. Tan travelled to Singapore to work at his very young age. Eventually, he picked up and mastered skills in making different types of traditional cookies, including this mouth-watering snack back in 1970’s.
After few years, he returned to his hometown, Jenjarom with all skills equipped. Mr Tan tried to do a start-up business of making handmade peanut candy in 1984. At the very beginning stage, it was really tough and challenging as it takes more efforts and time than he expected even to have small production capacity. Despite having few time failures, he has established “Tat Lian” successfully in 1984, with the continuous supports and encouragements from his family and friends.
Tan’s belief “Fine arts come from slow work! Always be trustworthy and kind. ”, simple as that.
SECOND GENERATION: HERITASTE
After 30 years, the second generation take over the business and revamped it into new brand called “Heritaste” (inherit the spirit, passion, and love; continue to pursue and deliver the taste of happiness).
